It’s a case of back to the future for Brewood Music Festival as, due to circumstances beyond our control, a venue change has been announced for the ‘Main Event’ and Brewood Music Festival’s ‘Sunday Best’. The events to be held on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July will now both take place at St. Dominic’s Grammar School.

Advice and expertise

After consultation with South Staffordshire Council, festival organisers were made aware of a number of issues that would be impossible to overcome in time for the event to take place at the original location. Brewood Music Festival is indebted to Mike Pearce of the Council’s licensing department for his advice and expertise in this matter. Festival organisers would also like to place on record their thanks to the headteacher and staff of Brewood Middle School for their co-operation and enthusiasm towards hosting Brewood Music Festival 2018.

Re-focus

Festival spokesperson Jason Bate said “We’re grateful to Mr. Pearce for his help. Fortunately this information has come to the fore in time for the organising committee to quickly re-focus and make the necessary arrangements to move the event back to a venue we know well and where we have enjoyed a long, enjoyable and successful relationship over many years. St. Dominic’s has had a major role to play in the history of Brewood Music Festival and we owe a real debt of gratitude to the school for allowing us to continue our story.”

The show goes on

The change of venue will not affect any of the events planned over the weekend. Festival-goers will still be able to enjoy the same announced line-up alongside food from Digbeth Dining Club as well as a craft fair and music workshops on the Sunday.

Ticket holders are not required to change their tickets as all stubs detailing the venue as Brewood Middle School will still be valid at the new location.
